Welcome! CrossFit Sigonella is a military affiliate open to all members of the NAS Sigonella workforce and their spouses. Group WOD’s (“Workout of the Day”) are held on Mondays and Wednesdays on NAS2 at 1700. Locations can vary, so check this blog on WOD days for the latest updates.


We are a 100% volunteer- and member-run CrossFit affiliate. We have no indoor space to call our own, hence the creative outdoor WODs. Any equipment we use is owned by our “members,” and our trainers volunteer their time. Despite our sparse equipment, we strive to provide an authentic CrossFit experience. Emphasis is put on camaraderie, safety, and participation (not just on performing every WOD “as prescribed”). We appreciate NAS Sigonella allowing us to hold WODs on base. We ask all participants to respect both the space and personally-owned equipment that we use, always leaving both just as they were found.


Locations:

“The Boneyard”
The courtyard in front of the barracks on NAS2, next to the Marine building (just down from the SeaBee statue and fountain). The closest parking lot is the CTF-67 lot. There is a single lone pull-up bar, and often a tractor tire. Nearby, there is a small pavilion with picnic tables and a grill. We meet here when we need open space for a WOD.

“The TRX”
The TRX frame next to the sand volleyball court, across from Take Five. We meet here when we need to perform pull-ups, toes to bar, etc.

“The third floor of the parking garage”
Somewhere on the third floor of the parking garage. We meet here when it is raining.


All CrossFit workouts are fully scalable to fit the fitness needs of all of our members. If you are not familiar with CrossFit but are interested in trying it out, please do!
